Spencer Bean

Founder, Beanski AI

I build production AI systems for businesses: agents, automations, and integrations that plug into the tools your team already uses. Then I hand them off so you can own them.

I started Beanski AI because I kept seeing the same gap: companies know AI can help, but they don't know how to take it out of the ChatGPT app and make it actually work for their processes. That's the problem I solve.

How I Got Here

My path to AI consulting wasn't a straight line. I have a Master's in Information Systems and started my career in IT Advisory at PwC, then moved into product management at a fintech company. From there I went independent, freelancing as a web developer while building two businesses of my own.

One was Elms Puzzles, a luxury handcut wooden jigsaw puzzle company that I purchased, ran for five years, and sold. The other is Stitch People, a craft-centered ecommerce store that's still going strong.

When ChatGPT launched, I was skeptical. But once I saw the potential, I dove in. Not just to build with AI, but to learn how to build it responsibly. I joined WKS Restaurant Group, a multi-brand franchise operator with 400+ locations and over 10,000 employees, where I built AI solutions tailored to restaurant operations.

That's where I saw the real gap: big brands and franchisors are embracing AI, but the operators and franchisees, the people actually running the business, tend to lag behind. They're not sure how to take AI out of the app and make it work for their processes. When I saw the impact that a well-designed system can have on an organization at scale, I knew I wanted to help more companies get there.

My Approach

Most AI consulting starts with the technology and works backward to find a problem. I start with your actual workflows: the manual processes, the bottlenecks, the data trapped in systems that don't talk to each other. Then I build AI that fits into how your business already runs.

Systems-first thinking

I've run businesses myself. I understand that the value isn't in the AI model. It's in how cleanly it connects to the systems your team already depends on.

Production, not prototypes

Everything I build ships with proper authentication, error handling, and monitoring. I hand off working systems, not demos that need another six months of engineering.

Humans in the loop

I believe AI should supplement human creativity and elevate the kind of work people do, not replace them. The best AI systems make people's jobs better.

Outside of Work

I work remotely from wherever I happen to be. When I'm not building AI systems, you'll find me on a tennis court, exploring a new city with my wife and our three-legged dog Nubby, or working on film and TV projects. I also still run Stitch People, which keeps me connected to the ecommerce world.

Let's build something real

I'm always interested in talking with teams that have genuine AI integration challenges.
